Afreen Siddiqui is an educator, researcher, visual communication designer and a theater practitioner, who is currently doing her active research on printing equipment in Pakistan that is in a dying stage and is in danger of being scrapped off.
She presented her research findings, concerning the current situation of printing heritage in Pakistan, at the World Printing and Publishing Culture Symposium held in Beijing, China, in 2019.
 Her research, preservation work and documentation on the diminishing Letter Press Urdu Type in Pakistan was exhibited at National College of Arts (NCA) Faculty Show at Islamabad International Art Festival 2019.
Over the last 10 years, Afreen has been teaching Communication Design & History at various renowned institutions in Pakistan. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor at COMSATS University Islamabad – Pakistan, supervising and coordinating the Under-Grad Design Thesis Projects.
She is a founding member and current Secretary of the IAPM. Her recent projects include YELLOW, a positive community building project for women, and COVIDESIGN E- Talk  Series, an international platform to connect the local art and design fraternity with international Experts of Printing and Design.
